Report from Steve on the WOA Conference in Chile

I have now returned to Chicago after an uneventful flight from Santiago via Miami.

Firstly, I would like to thank Isabel for the massive amount of work and preparation that was done beforehand and during the conference to make it as successful as it was - I appreciate all that you did Isabel, and now you can stop worrying!

We have a great bunch of people in our organisation.

Our directors are the best Ostrich people in the world and we should all be proud of the work we have done and the work we continue to do and the conference we organised.

The delegates saw a rich and vast range of personalities and went away with a lot more information than they expected or bargained for, and each of us who made this a success can go away with a great sense of satisfaction that we put on a good show.

I belive that the general consensus of opinion is that perhaps we need to do more of these and the active role and responsibilities we all carry were well appreciated by the delegates and the "in your face approach" is the key to our success.

In conclusion, and given the feedback from all the delegates, we did a phenomenal job within a limited 6 month preparation time and we all deserve a big pat on the back for having designed, organised and put on a wonderful first conference.

We are on the right path to take the Ostrich industry forward in a professional and correct way.
