Good nutrition and balanced diet improved both hatchability
(80%) and post hatch mortality (25%).
Ostrich requirements from energy, amino acids, vitamins and
minerals need more studies (mostly still calculated on basis of poultry or pig
requirements).
The main difficulties in such researches are ostrich
behaviour, high cost and large area needed.
