Rearing, diseases and vaccination
Under Egyptian conditions the most common
diseases are:
Newcastle disease: Caused about 30% mortality
in young chicks (until 3 months old) in some farms. Vaccination is essential
(stopped during the last 6 moths before slaughtering). Two studies were
conducted to investigate the best vaccination schedule for breeders and
different chick ages.
