Regions of the WOA
The founders established the regions below as a starting point for discussion. As our industry works towards maturity the directors invite communication on how to develop the regions. Those suggestions can include establishing new boundaries.
There are 7 World Ostrich Association international regions as follows:
Region 1; North America - All countries north of Panama including The
USA, Canada, Mexico, Panama and the Caribbean. |
Region 2; South America. - All countries South of Panama on the south
American sub continent.

Region 3; Europe - All EU countries and following the boundaries as
per the map taking in the boundary lines from Finland down to and
including the Ukraine.

Region 4; Middle East to include Turkey, the countries of the Arabian
Peninsula, Jordan, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Iran plus all the countries
bordering the Caspian Sea and east to the Chinese border. Also to include
North Africa, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Sudan, Ethiopia and
Somalia.

Region 5; Sub Saharan Africa - all countries on the African Continent
not included in region 4 above.

Region 6; Asia to include Russia, China plus all countries bordering
the Caspian Sea not detailed in 3 above, including Afghanistan, India,
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

Region 7; Pacific Rim - to Include Japan, North and South Korea,
Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Burma, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and
Australasia.
